That same spirit and determination live at the heart of the work you and the NAACP do every day. That’s why you should join us in our Jamestown to Jamestown commemoration event.
This August, the NAACP leadership, members, and partners, will journey from Jamestown, Virginia back to Jamestown, Ghana. This once-in-a-lifetime trip will actualize the healing and collective unity so many generations have worked to achieve in ways which bring power to our communities in America, Africa, and throughout our Diaspora.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Prayer vigil at the Jamestown Settlement,
- Ancestral healing ceremony at the ocean,
- Business and development summit,
- African Ancestry reveal at the Door of No Return, and
- Visit to Assin Manso Last Bath Slave River, where enslaved Africans had their last bath before being shipped to the western world never to be returned.
