This August, the NAACP leadership, members, and partners, will journey from Jamestown, Virginia back to Jamestown, Ghana. This once-in-a-lifetime trip will actualize the healing and collective unity so many generations have worked to achieve in ways which bring power to our communities in America, Africa, and throughout our Diaspora.

The academy provides a comfortable and informative setting for SMPD to reach out, and continue to build a positive and favorable relationship with the youth of the Santa Maria Valley. The academy provides an opportunity for our diverse community to come together and learn about the philosophy, methods, procedures, and structure of the City of Santa Maria and its Police Department.
